	I just got a Peabody Martini in 43 spanish and cannot find a serial number anywhere. Are they serialized? Thanks, moodyholler

	Is it a Peabody (hammer gun) or a Martini action (hammerless)? On my commercial Peabody-Martini Kill Deer action the serial number is on the flat under the lever. British Martini-Henry rifles normally were marked with the serial number on the front face of the receiver, under the forend. David

	38, it is a militery side hammer and has no number under the lever. There is a "D" in front of the lever. Thanks for your reply, Jmoodyholler

	38, I pulled the forearm off and the serial number is one the barrel, 98,XXX so a late one. Thanks, moodyholler
