Interesting find!

While going thru my late Dad's things, I've come across a book

Single Shot Rifle Notes-yesterday and Today.

It's has a wealth of Schuetzen info contained. And, and great schematics for tang sights!!



Does anyone know if it's still in publication?

I work next to a book publisher/binder for small quantities. If it's worth it, I'd try and get them to re-publish it..

For what it's worth....

Amazon sells used copies of that book starting at $79.

I bought mine about 10-15 years ago.  I haven't been looking for it since I have one, but I don't remember seeing any copies on any book sellers' shelves lately.  It is a very useful book, IMHO.  Cool

I work with a guy who's wife is in HR at the next door publisher. I'll ask him to ask her what it entails...

I know they do short runs of books...

Judging by the current asking prices, I'd say that a short run would sell. I just had a look at AbeBooks and there are only two copies listed. $89.50 for one and $100 for the other.... plus shipping.

There is a publisher in New Mexico, High Lonesome Press that reprints out of print sporting books and sells them at a reasonable cost.  They are like Dover but focused on sporting topics.  You may want to bring the book to their attention if you don't want to go to the trouble of doing it yourself. They are good people, I buy a lot of books from them.

If you do decide to do it yourself please share the details of the project with us.  I am very interested in the copyright issues, etc.  I have been collecting sporting books for years and I have thought about doing some reprinting myself.

I searched for a copy.  They are scarce.  I found one and paid $85.00 after looking for 2 years.
