3rd Anual Winter Gathering interest?

Hello guys,

I am wondering if there is interest in another gathering of us single shot types? I am willing to see if I can pull it together again. In fact, I would like to if there is interest.

Please let me know if you are interested!

For those who are new tot he board or association, the last couple of years I have hosted a get together of single shot shooters/collectors in New Market, VA. we generally get together, eat a little, share our projects, swap knowledge, pass on ideas, exchange info, etc.

If you like to talk old guns, I like to think it is worth the effort, but, I am partial!

You didn't even have to ask me, M-B.  Just tell me the date and put my name on the guest list!  I'm sure MACShooter will want to be there too.  Ditto to what M-H said about asking for whatever help you need getting it together.

    Hi Jon:

           That sounds like an invitation I can not miss !  Jon, would it be helpful if you made it a "bring an entree' affair" meaning everyone would be expected to bring a food dish (cold or hot) to share with those attending.

    I definitely will be there representing the Pennsylvania delegation ?

   Green Frog and I are trying to get " Trapdoor Dick " to come on down to Haymarket for the Winter Gathering !

    He lives in Newark, Delaware, and if he can make it, has promised to bring a T.D. or two for "show and tell."

All,

In the past I have scheduled the Gathering around the first Nations Gun show. This year should be no different. The Nations Show is again on the weekend of Feb 12, 13 and 14. So it looks like we will meeting on Feb. 13th.

I need to verify availability of the building but had done so earlier and at that point nothing else was scheduled. 

I know that I was worried last year that the Valentines Day date may keep some folks away. Much to my suprise a few of us, me included, brought the wife or significant other along!! 

I will get more details together and post a new thread in the next couple of days.

Looking forward to seeing everyone and all the new or updated projects!!

I hope eveyone has had a good Christmas/Holiday and New Years!

     Please "pre-register" MACShooter and me.  Let me know what you would like me to bring, contribute, etc.  I think I should have some good stuff to bring along for "Show-&-Tell" as well as some stuff for sale.

Hey MerwinBray. I do intend to at least try and get down there. Health may play a part, but by golly we're going to try and make CCM and Froggie happy. If'n I can do it, I promise the TD Scheutzen, TD Hawken and TD NW Trade gun at least. actually that's all I own any more. Guess I better get building again.  And besides, it's my 65th birthday on the 13th. So if I get there it will mean I made another year. Smiley
