I send much appreciation and thanks to Charlie, the Green Frog, and to the President and Members of the Brushy Mountain Club in Gretna, Virginia for making their club range available, and for hosting last week end's schuetzen match.

I nicer group of people you will not find.  The club setting is one of the best I've visited and the 300 yard rifle range could not be improved upon.  All in all, we are fortunate to have a member like Green Frog in our organization, and I highly recommend that you mark your 2010 calendars with the two shoots held in Gretna , Virginia

Froggy tell me straight since I missed the match. Was the weather Friday fine for shooting light mist and fog no wind. And terrible on Sat with lots of wind and rain ?

I was in Floyd on Friday and it could not have been a better shooting day wind wise,  Left early on Sat and went straight home after looking at the forecast,  Football game from Blacksburg was on TV Sat Afternoon and it looked real bad,
 
You were on the other side of the mountain though, what did I miss ?

I sure read it wrong skipping the match. I was not very far west but on the other side of the mountains.  Friday weather west must have been Sat weather east of the Blue Ridge

Those light wind light rain days are the absolute best for shooting. Moisture in the air lets you see every change.

I can't say I am suprised to see that 40_Rod thought Sat was a little better!

Boats, I left at around 2:00 on Sat and it did not take too many dozens of miles to the north and my car was getting blown all around. SOme pretty major gusting and bouts of heavey rain here and there. But I did not see that at the range. Could certainly be decieving!

Hope to see you in the spring. I actually had your sencond bullet box with me! Will you be at Thurmont? Jury is still out on me at this point.
