Stevens single shots at NGD

I went to the gun show in Louisville this past weekend.  Lots of Stevens there.  Everything from the big money stuff to some $300 favorites.  I passed on a Maynard Jr. that was $275.  Not a bad gun, but I have several others at about the same quality.  A walk in had a couple Favorites for about the same price.  One was a .32 with a excellent bore.  I was tempted on that one but walked away only to go looking for the guy 20 minutes later.  He was gone, but I saw the same Favorites on a table for $375.  I saw a couple Walnut Hills and some fancy engraved target rifles, but the prices were so high I just can't even dream of buying guns like that.

If you haven't been to the NGD show, I would say try it.  It can be a big show during Feb.  with around 3000 tables.  This one had about 2000 tables.  You can put a lot of gun stuff on 2000 tables!

I've heard good things about the Louisville show. Marlin collectors meeting is held there once in awhile, but I haven't made one there yet.
Sounds like a great show.

Only made the Louiville show once, a couple of years back. There were a lot of good Stevens there then. I picked up a realy nice 44 1/2 in .22 and a decent 44 in .32-20 with a good bore. Also saw a lot of highe dollar Stevens that were out of my price range. I need to go back there again. My only complaint is that it is too big a show to cover in one day. I made it through but did not have much time to browse.
