I recently joined this forum, primarily to obtain some information and guidance on a highwall in .219 DW. I was very pleased at the responses,  helpful information and suggestions that I received. I just enjoy firearms in general, mostly shooting them as I do little hunting. I also find it refreshing that this forum appears to stick to firearms and leaves the politics out.
A bit about myself. My career background is in special education. I live in the the country in central Kansas which is great as I can shoot at home whenever I wish. I also enjoy riding (76 Moto Guzzi T-3). I am a sailplane pilot. Also quite involved in gardening. Married with one adult step daughter. My current firearms are:
Highwall .219DW
Savage .243
Handi .243
Winchester 94 AE in .357
Marlin 39A .22LR
Remington model 34 .22LR (for what ever reason this old rifle which I bought in the early 70s for $14 is the most accurate .22 I have ever owned, hole touching cloverleafs or less at 25 yds.)
Old Springfield SS .22
Blackhawk .357
Ruger Mk.II 5.5 inch bull barrel
Makarov 9x18
I reload for the .219, .243 and the .357/.38.

Welcome aboard. I have always found the people here to be friendly, helpful, knowledgable, and also great to do business with when the ocassion arises. Sadly, if you are involved in the gun hobby, politics are important.

john, welcome to the forums. You and I have exchanged posts on the graybeard single shot forum on your high wall. I'm known as Frank46 over there. Frank

Sportslube,
I live about 35 miles north of Wichita. If you are familiar with Wichita the road to the west of me is Hillside.
Slumlord44,
Yes, guns and politics are hard to keep apart, but I can find plenty of that on other forums.
