Would anyone please share their favorite starting loads for my 38-55 and 8.15 x 46R rifles using IMR 4759?
38-55 w/300 gr. bullet
8.15 x 46R  w/187 gr. bullet
I have been using IMR 4227 and am not real pleased.
Thanks

Buggy,

I use 4227 & 4759 interchangeably in the 38/55.  4759 if loading fixed at home 4227 at the bench when breech seating.  About 16 grains of either with a 300 gr bullet.  However I don't put much emphasis on a specific charge and will crank the powder measure up or down depending on how the load is working on that particular day.

4227 is a standard, if it's not working well I would look to another cause.
