When it rains it pours...another mod. 14

A short while ago I posted something about a Stevens mod. 14 I picked up.  Not even two weeks later I bought another one.  My new one was purchased off of one of the online auctions.  It has a couple of issues, but after all, these are supposed to be rare in any condition.  I am beginning to wonder how many or how few of these are out there.  Let me ask the question.  How many of these little boys' rifles (mod. 14) have you seen?  Do you have one in your collection?  Do you know someone who does?
I am happy to say I have two of them, and that I have less than $500 in the pair.
Which leads me to my last question.  What is one of these worth that is in good condition?

Which auction did you find it on? I usually watch all the major ones and must have somehow missed this one. Hard to put a current price on one because they are so scarce. I have not seen one yet that I am aware of. I would say you got into these right.

Well, I've noticed that there have been over 300 views of this thread.  That's 300 people that have an interest in single shot rifles, and not one person has responded that they have a mod. 14 or know someone who does.  I know of a guy up in Wisconsin who has one in his collection, and other than him I know of no others.  I know of more "Sure Shots" being around than mod 14's.  I guess they're out there, but they must be as uncommon as hens teeth.

You are right about this viewer, I have the interest in SS but no 14s -- I have a couple favorites, maynard junior, and a marksman, plus a Page lewis --  oh, and a crackshot in the project/salvage box.

It is on my want list but I have never seen one yet. I actually passed on a Sure Shot several years ago because it was in realy poor condition. Could have bought it for around $125. Not one of my smartest moves! Still kicking myself. Knew what it was and that it was rare, just did not know HOW rare!
