The ISSA results are with the web master and after some minor formatting, will be posted to:

The results should be uploaded in the next few days.

There are indeed two Americas. Simply put, it is not the haves and have nots. The two Americans are in reality divided into those who do and those who don't.

Thanks, Alemonkey, but I only shot the two centerfire bench matches...did really, really poorly on my iron sight bench, got done and in cleaning, found that my bore was pretty leaded up.  D-oh!   Embarrassed   Cry  Two days later I shot scope bench, with my light offhand Ruger rifle, and shot a 1208-20x for second in my class.  Good score for me, but probably put me about 1/3 of the way down from the top overall.  Most importantly, I had fun, talked guns for a week, and got to visit with many of my "once a year" friends!   Smiley

My next door neighbor / haying / farming / hunting friend shot Raton for his first time this year. He did very well finished 1st in AA rimfire Hunting class and bench. So they junped him into the AAA for centerfire comp. and he took 2ND overall in hunting class and 3 or 4th in bench

He called home and told his dad he needs to build a new gun to really compete down there. they drove half the night to get home and by 10 he was with me putting up Hay for the cows

38 did you talk to lee Widdel? or his coach Jim Beudue

I guess I should add he was in 2 classes of rimfire and 2 classes of centerfire bolt action.

I was there for the ISSA Schuetzen matches, and didn't get over to the Silhouette range during their competition.  We did have a few guys come over to the Coors range to see what we were all about, but I didn't get their names.

I was at the 2009 BPCR Silouhette Nationals in Raton, NM., set up as an exhibitor.  Two friends went with me, and everyone agreed that we will make that an annual event from now on.   I cannot remember when I enjoyed something as much.  What a great place, and everyone we met were super friendly.  Next year we will be back at Raton, not only as an exhibitor, but I hope to be a competitor as well.  Visiting the NRA Whittington Center needs to be on everyone's "bucket list" of things to do!                  Best to All,    Tim Smith-Lyon
