Here is a link to my photo bucket album of Stevens Lord pistols.  I downloaded 24 photos for you all to look at along with comments about each photos and the interesting things about each gun.  Sometimes I listed the serial number and also and unusual variations that each has so read the comments on the enlarged photos.  If you click on the photo it will enlarge and if you click on the enlarged pic it will get still bigger.  I hope you all enjoy these photos.  Its always better to see these in color than in the books on Stevens which all seem to be black and white.

I enjoy these pistols a great deal.  My grandfathers name was Stevens and he got me started shooting with a Favorite.  I inherited his collection of single shot target rifles and one #35 pistol.  I sold much of the collection in order to buy our 2nd house 30 years ago and at times wish I had not but my Grandfather did the same to get the family through the depression so I am sure he understands.  As you mention, a pistol collection takes up much less space.  I have 12 on the upper shelf of my large safe.  If I only collected pistols my large safe (medium size by most collectors standards) could hold over 70 pistols easily.  If I organized the space better I believe I could get 100 in it.  My collection of these seems to grow much faster as a result of having room available for them so beware that the impediment of lack of space being gone can lead to spending much more money.
