Did any one shoot this weekend?

Happy Independence Day!!!

Yesterday my wife and I went to a local, county run rifle range and expended a lot of ammo.  We got two BSA martinis in 22 LR and 22 WRM dialed in at 75 yards, as wel as a Stevens Model 44 in 22 WRF.

A good time was had by all, followed by a trip to Burgerville USA for Tillamook Cheesburgers.  Sorry Guys and Gals, this is a local product.

Great Day!

I took two shots with my 16" mortar in the back yard.

The first was a mild shot which put the beachball 50-75 feet into the air.

The second was a full charge which could be heard around town.

The fourth I spent the day at my brothers cuzz its his birthday. Sunday morning I drug my neighbor out to the the range. Bill plinked with his 22 and I shot my 40/50 #9 Ballard ten shots offhand. Then the phone rang.
Bucked and hauled hay the rest of the day. Didnt get home till nine in the evening.

I helped at my local club with their annual Fourth of July Weekend Skeet Tournament.  It was payback for the support the shotgunners gave me to have the Chinquapin match the previous weekend.  I consider that a pretty fair trade!   Wink

On the evening of the Fourth I went with may parents and one of my brothers to the nearby D-Day Memorial (Bedford, VA) for the fireworks display.  I guess I should have eaten a hot dog and apple pie for supper, but the steak from the grille seemed pretty patriotic in its own way!  Cool

I'll be shooting again this weekend with N-S skirmishers at Ft Shenandoah, near Winchester, VA.  I wonder if the South will win this time?  Remember, "If at first you don't secede..."    Grin
