Help with Fecker scope crosshair housing threads

I have a Fecker 3/4" scope with the crosshair housing threads stripped out on one side.  There are two very small screws spaced 180 degrees apart that hold the housing in place.  I plan to rotate the housing 90 degrees, then drill and tap two new holes, but I can't figure out the thread pitch.  Does anyone know for certain?  Thanks.

A little confused, one screw should hold the crosshair just fine. I guess you must be missing both screws. Anyway, they are 2-56. at least on the one I checked.

Tom,

Thanks.  When I bought the scope both screws were in place.  As I was checking everthing out one screw fell out.  Closer inspection indicated it was stripped.  Since the crosshair housing appears to be brass I guess I could force a slightly larger screw in but would rather not try.  I have no doubt that you are correct in that one screw will hold the housing but I'd prefer not to have an screw hole with no screw in the other side.
