Lyman STS Question

I have a couple of Lyman Super Targetspot scopes and I'd like to find out when they were made. Is there a website or book with that info?
Also does anyone know when Lyman started using the plastic buttons on the adjusting turrets instead of the metal bars? 
On the one I have with the plastic buttons the little  "L" shaped bar that holds the click stop mechanism from turning has come undone and needs repair, and both turrets are pretty stiff from not being used for about 50 years.
Is Parsons the best place to have work on these?   Thanks,

In 1972-73 I went to school and worked in a gunshop, at that time we sold Lyman scopes which were, I believe, the last of the Lyman STS, not counting Gil Parsons' scopes. These scopes had the plastic tips on the adjustment knobs, as I recall they sold new for $168.00 and came in a grey plastic case. For more information you need to talk to Gil Parsons.
