	If I remember correctly on TV Jed Clampett in the Beverly Hillbillys is seen a couple times with a trapdoor. Ellie May should could use a slingshot! GuzziJohn

	I was watching Lonesome Dove again last night, and in the scene where Blue Duck's men have Gus pinned down, the tall guy has a scoped Sharps he pulls out to start trying to nail old Gus with. I love that scene, because old Gus starts shooting his brass frame Henry and hitting way short. Then when the tall guy starts dancing around taunting him, he raises the long range rear barrel sight, and puts one right in his bread basket!

	It's really more about muzzleloaders, but I watched Last of the Mohicans again the other night. There are some neat guns in that movie.

	I wathhed Win 74 and found the Sharps shot by the old trapper, But I also found a Winchester High Wall shot by the second shooter. 40 Rod

	Good eye 40 Rod. I didnt see the side hammer Sharps the trapper picked up from the table. Unfortunately what the shooters take from the table dont match the rifles they shoot. I didnt see a highwall but saw a Sharps 78 military used by the second shooter. The old grey haired feller with the whiskers. If you stop the clip at the right time you can see the trigger and safety. I noticed a rolling block picked up from the table too but they dont show it being shot . Joe.

	Westerner You have a better eye. I knew it had a musket style forend but it looked like a High Wall I should have thought of an 1878 Sharps. As far as what got picked up from the table when Hollywood was cranking out movies like fords on the assembly line they didn’t pay as much attention to background continuity. I don’t think anyone imagined that a bunch of old gun-cranks would go through the two scenes frame by frame and compare rifles 40 Rod
