I was just watching the movie Khartoum (Charleton Heston) and it featured Remington rolling blocks (and Martinis).  The movie Zulu featured the Martini-Henry, trapdoors were in (IIRC) They Died with Their Boots On and The Horse Soldiers.  

What other movies featured SSRs?  

The Hunting Party 1971, with Gene Hackman and Candice Bergman features Martini Peabodys.  A couple years later in 1975 Candice Bergman appeared in The Wind and Lion where Brian Keith playing Theodore Roosevelt also shoots a Martini Peabody.

Zulu is interesting with all the different types of Martini's.  MK I-III types are seen as well as a Greener Shotgun's and Westley Richards Francotte improved Martinis.  not to mention the long lee's bolt guns in the back ground.

Don't forget The Outlaw Josey Wales, where he uses a Sharps with a Tasco brass repro scope on it to take them Redlegs on a "Missouri boat ride"!

Of course there is the ubiquitous use of the Trapdoor Springfield for period movies ranging from the early 1700s to the 1900s.  I watched the original "Mutiny on the Bounty" (1935) with a young Clark Gable in it on TCM this morning and it had several cameo appeartances from the 1873 Springfield.  My literature history is weak but I believe the event was set in the early 1770s.  Terry

Great site!  I put in the terms "Remington Rolling Block" and got a few hits.  One was just loaded with metal: Hot Fuzz

How about Laurel & Hardy in "Beau Hunks" & "Flying Deuces". In both of them, they joined the Foreign Legion and, as I disremember were seen with either Martinis and/or trapdoors.

Billy two hats??  That has to be the film. The plot doesnt sound right to me but it was a long time ago I saw the flick. 

Not single shots, but a very memorable scene was in the ( Kentuckian) where The bad guy is running across the pond toward 
Burt Lancaster. Lancaster is on one knee trying to load his rifle in time. He does, just in the nick of time. One of my favorite action scenes in a western.  

In the movie ( One Eyed Jacks) with Brando and Malden. Malden uses a trapdoor to hold off the possi when one of the horses gives out.
Malden has webbed toes by the way.  So does Dan Aykroyd .  

God knows I love a good western. And I love western music too. Check this one out. I love it.
