Hooked Butt Plate 4 CPA

Does anyone know where I might find a hooked butt plate that would fit my standard CPA 44 1/2?
"Track of the wolf" once had them but I can find the page now.
Unfinished would be the best.

CPA has them just got one for my Low wall project. last one I bought from them for my CPA  was rough cast I filed and fitted to my stock then returned it, they polished out and color cased.  Real nice job.

CPA web page shows a hand full but are all rounded rear stock, where mine is a shotgun flat end.  And the ones at "the Wolf" all have over the rear stock pieces and they aren't long enough for under the arm.

Boats, was yours shotgun straight butt?  If so I'll can Gail up in the morning and get one, do you remember the cost?
Oh by the Boats, that 32-40 barrel REALLY shot great, first match got a 242 4C. thanks again....

thanks so far,   van

Van glad it worked out, shame I let it sit 5 years unfired. Nice to see it in use and with a very good score.

On the  buttplate, my stock is curved to suit the Swiss butt.  One of the guys that used to post here told me he switches off a Shotgun butt with a Small Swiss same stock. And got the plates from CPA. I am not so sure I could live with the fits of two plates same wood. Not to say it can't be done but pretty sure I can't fit that well.

My older CPA has two buttstocks one Flat Shotgun other Stevens 52 style crescent.  Considering CPA's standard wood is not real expensive and they will fit the plate and action that's the way I went. CPA did the inletting final finish wood and metal did my self with the plate back to CPA for color case.

On my Low wall project rifle am going to do the same thing two buttstocks, one Shotgun one Swiss.  This in deference to NRA modern rifle Silhouette rules and using the same rifle in Schuetzen.

You know of course that a hack saw and a belt sander will quickly remove and reshape the return on the top?

Marlinguy,  You mean for Modern rifle rules NRA smallbore Silouette ?  The all offhand event not BPCS rimfire. Thought the buttplate could not have anything extending past the stock line top or bottom ? but could be wrong.  My rule book is very old need to check up.

No. I meant if it has that return on top and he wants it flat where it mates to the wood, then just chop the return off and sand it flat before mating it to the wood.
If it's for a BPCR rifle, then it can't even have a Swiss type plate.

Gotcha,

Considering low cost of a plain wood Shotgun plate stock think I am just going two buttstocks. May need to save a bit of weight too and can do it on the 2nd stock keeping the Schuetzen style true to form. Plastic plate and perhaps some holes drilled to lighten.
