H&G is Hensley and Gibbs.

What mould # does it have?

A good check is to watch ebay.  Look for what they actually SELL for.

Search for H&G H & G Hensley and Gibbs and several other combinations.

It is a H&G 5 cavity 38cal. wad cutter mold. Mold and handles are in excellent condition. What is it's value?  Thanks   Ken

H&G made mostly multi-cavity handgun moulds. I think that they were bought out a few years ago by Magma; and, old some of the bullet designs can still be ordered through the new owner. They are a good mould and will sell at about the same price as Lyman, SAECO, or RCBS, depending on the bullet design, and the condition of the blocks.

They are rare in five cavity and would sell for around two hundred on E- Bag. Hope this answers your question.

H&G multi-cavity molds are not just good, they are the best. I have no experience with SAECO multi-cavity molds but have both H&G and Lyman four cavity molds on my bench. About all the latter two have in common is that they both cast bullets. Lyman just is not in the same league in terms of quality, ease of operation or value.

H&G's are great molds no doubt about it, However unless you collect molds and want that one 38 wadcutters are not in use today as much as other designs,

If I could get my hands on a H&G 68 200 gr SWC for the 45 would jump and probaby pay too much, don't know anybody at our club shooting 38 wadcutters any more,

Ken,

Check in with these guys, they will probably be lining up to pay top dollar for your classic H&G mould.  Wink

I have both molds 38 & 45 they hav supplyed a lot of quality bullets for my star loading tool. . I doubt if anything modern will match the performance of these molds and the star loader. at one time they provided practice amo for 3 police dpts in cincinnati area. today they are as good as the day they came out of the box. they have more than met the test of time and will continue to as long as the primers stay with us.
