Mid Atlantic Midrange Match

Is anyone going to the MidAtlantic Midrange Match at Quantico in April?

Trying to decide if I am going to try it again. Was wondering who else might be there.

Hey Jon,
I'll be going. Come on out. I will be campaigning the Borchardt with PP bullets this year.

      Hi Jon,

Didn't get to see you at the Baltimore Antiques Arms Show, but we both wound up at the $ 40 K Stevens rifle table.

I just wanted to remind you that we'll be shooting 200 yards schuetzen at Thurmont, Maryland for a three day match, starting Friday, 17 April.

Just in case the Mid-Atlantic Match at Quantico is the same weekend, hey, I know you would rather be shooting schuetzen ... right ?

Is it possible for you to post the information regarding the Mid Atlantic match here ? ?

I've been trying to get the information for over three weeks, and it isn't posted / listed anywhere.

Subsailor  -  Thanks for the info  Smiley    I'll definitely be there and will have a shooting partner with me.

Noticed you're in Chesapeake  - -  ever get to Lafayette Gun Club to shoot ? ?  If so, maybe we can meet there some time and send a few rounds down range.  I'm primarily a flintlock shooter and was just diagnosed with terminal BPCR fever.  Sure hope there ain't no cure for it.

Coastie,
I use to be a member of LGC but dropped out after I bought my hunting property and have built my own 200 yard range.

As far as a cure for BPCR, you can only buy more rifles, brass, and moulds to lessen the effects.  Smiley

You will have to develop a therapy program that includes Silhouette, Target and Schuetzen shooting that will help get you thru the summer months. The only therapy available for the winter months is casting bullets.

Give me a call sometime and we can get together and set up your 12 step program! Smiley

Subsailor,

I beg to differ about the winter months. For REALLY bad cases of withdrawl or fever, there is BP and lead hunting opportunities.

Wether it is a front stuffer or something lead enclosed in brass, it takes the edge off until spring!

Creedmoor,

I did miss ya there. I saw Roy and Ken who both shoot at Thurmont.

Missed Chris, too. I think he said he was going.

Guess even MORE reason to try to make it up.

I am hoping by the fall match to be trying out a 25-20SS Maynard. With any luck, I will have it in hand well before then! I have fantasies of shooting it at the Froggs match in June.
