Matches at St.Louis and Davenport?

according to the last thing I saw on the WSU page Mike Fargas has a match scheduled. We on the other hand have nothing scheduled at Davenport yet other then our monthly rimfire shoots. We hope to get the frames made still before spring and finish up the outdoor. Until then we are hesitant to schedule something

I must ask. Is this Davenport Iowa? If so, do you know much about the old Davenport Schuetzen Matches and clubs?

Is there any evidence of it left?

Yes it is, it is alive and well since 1862. (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
We just opened our new indoor range and we have outdoor 200 yd range (rimfire) and new bench rest/offhand centerfire (cast bullet only) range. Monthly club (rimfire) matches year round.

The St. Louis match is May 8-9.  It will be WSU rules.  I have not seen the program of matches yet.

4065 shooter' thanks for the info on st.lou. this is a good . For those who have never shot there'they have a modern range ' camping area' elec. water' big club house and Mike puts on agood shoot. Come out and support him this year.
