If my geography is correct, Kitzbuehel is an Alpine mountain town in Austria (and a popular destination for skiers these days).
Meisterklasse means "Expert class", obviously with regard to a shooting competition.
I am not sure what the writing on the back could refer to. Is it printed or handwritten? It could be anything from Gestern Geschossen (shot yesterday) to Gestapo Geschult (gestapo trained). Both of these are just wild guesses, and very unlikely.

There are a few books on Greman and swiss Awards and medals out there. I don't have them but I have seen them for sale. You may check  online and then with you library, they may be able to get it.

Upon reflection, I'm guessing that this is an abbreviation for the name of the company that produced the medal.

That is indeed the name of the company that produced the medal, and they produced them for many, many years! I've seen them dated from well before WWII to up into the 1970's. I've got three dated 1941. 1962, and 1973.-Vall

The words "Ges. Gesch." is the german equivalent of "Patent applied for" or patent pending. .  It is definately NOT a makers mark. The marking is an abbreviation of "Gesetzlich Geschutz".  German military items such as swords, pins, etc. will often have this marking. Another German patent marking is D.R.P. Which stands for Deutsche Reich Patent.  Joe S
