Once again Jon has, with help from his supportive family, put together a virtually unique event.  This is one of those special times that many of us can only imagine, where a good sized group of enthusiasts can get together and just have a great evening talking and eating and comparing notes on the projects we are involved with, or getting inspiration for new directions and projects.  There were muzzle loaders and late schuetzen era rifles, loading gear, and more.  Members of ASSRA blended with NMLRA and N-SSA members for a great exchange of ideas.   Smiley

There are no officers, no debates about rules or eligibility, nobody telling the organizers that they need to change their format so that they will grace the event with their presence, just plain old fun!  Thanks, Jon, et al for another great time and may the tradition continue!   Cheesy

Regards,
Charlie Shaeff

PS Personal thanks to my friend John Bly for the work he and Alan did on my Maynard that was delivered at the event... only now I have to get to work on my part!   Wink

Jon/Charlie,
My apologies for missing the gathering, I came down sick Friday evening and didn't move far from the couch until Sunday afternoon. Sounds like I missed a good time. I was hoping to catch up with Cat_W to talk about cannons along with seeing everyone again.

I want to thanks all for a nice evening. For those unable to go - you missed a good time. Always good to see the other boys toys. Thanks again.

To everyone who took the time to come out and have a good casual evening with your fellow collectors and shooters, Thank you all for making this year even better than the last!!

I had a very good time and hope everyone else did as well.

If there is interest and I can still get my paws on the Hall, I will do it again next year.

I had the opportunity to sit in on more converations than I did last year and heard a lot of info being shared. Everything from buying tips to loaoing tips, Pretty sure we will have some more cross pollination of shooting as a result. And I like to think a bit more of a bond has been formed, maybe I am illusionary, but I don't think so.

And some really neat rifles to see. Incredible Maynard 1st model set, complete with a stag handled knife.

Very Good set of Hopkins and Allens, Thanks MoodyHoller.

Nice set of original loading implements, Thanks Frog.

And more examples of Mr. Blys master craftsmanship.

Really, Thank you guys, and Gals. I truly am honored when you all get together.
