Who shoots in Raton, NM? (Read 3632 times)

	Hi, all. I'm wondering who all goes to the NRA Whittington Center range near Raton, NM? I used to go in the 70's when I was a pre-teen. My brother-in-law shot Pistol Silhouette back then and I kept score for him on the firing line. I haven't been back since probably '78 or '79. Now that I'm in the process of having my roller built, I'm seriously thinking about heading up there in the future to do some BPCR shooting. I know several of you attend matches across the country, what about Raton? Is it even worth the effort? Anything I should know before I get serious about going there? 	I try to get back to the Whittington Center near Raton every August, the ISSA has their Schuetzen Match there, and there's lots of other matches in August, Black Powder Silhouette, Black Powder Schuetzen, Cowboy Action shooting and many many more, and you never know who you're run into at the Whitington Center. 	Thanks for the replies. I'm definitely going by there this spring when I get some time off work. Does anybody in the ASSRA go up there regularly?

	The Nationals at Raton have been moved up again this year. The 22LR BPCR silhouette match that Dave Crossno runs, will start on Sunday, July 12th and run through Thursday. The BPCR "big guns" silhouette match will start on Monday, July 13 and run though Thursday. This is about as early as these matches have started in recent years.
