I Haven't Gotten My Journal

I am going to post this in hopes that I can solve some problems before they get started. To some this may seem like basic information but to many it is not.
First if you want to know about why your Journal did not come contact Keith Foster, I would love to help you but in most cases I can’t. Keith is the membership Secretary and keeps all the records. When a magazine is printed Keith sends all the current mailing addresses for the magazine to be sent out to. In most cases all I can do is send an e-mail to Keith with what you have told me. Many times Keith will have a question that I can’t answer for you. The most asked question is has my membership expired? The answer is what does it say on your membership card. Most people don’t know. When you get your membership card in the mail keep it, don’t throw it out. It has the information that we need to help you.

Question 1.) Did my membership run out? Answer) At the bottom of your card is a date that will tell you if your membership has run out. It also has your membership number; this is helpful in looking up your information. Your card also has the address that your magazine is being sent to.

Question 2.) I got my Journal the first month but did not get it the next month that I got one again. Answer) Bimonthly means every other month.

Question 3.) I stopped getting my Journal when I went to Texas for the winter. Answer) Send a change of address to Keith Foster every time that you move.

Lastly please leave contact information when you try to reach us. I wish I had a nickel for every voicemail left me whit no way to get back to the caller. So when you call please leave your Name, Phone number, Membership number, and maybe your e-mail address.
Keith and I are really trying to help you but you gotta help to.

John,

Before I go to Keith, is the Nov.-Dec. issue out yet?

Thanks, I guess AZ was too far away for that one.  Guess I'd better contact Keith.

I have worked hard to get the Journal back on a schedule. The date that we shoot for is the first week of the first month of the issue. The November / December started going out the first week of November. Unfortunately after the printer sends it to the Post office we lose control of it. The post office takes the batches of magazine and processes them “as time permits” They grab bins of magazines pretty much at random and process that zip code. That is why sometimes your magazine comes right away and some times it doesn’t get there till the end of the month. But as a general rule of thumb if your Journal isn’t in your hands by the end of the first week of the second month it’s gone walkies. I don’t know why but gun magazines seem to have a higher “lost” rate than others, maybe it’s just my imagination. Anyway I hope that this helps.
