I have a ---- of a time posting a pic on here for some reason and I hope this works..
I know it isnt really a ASSRA Item but this is one of the finest people involved in our sport....
I communicate regularly with Connie in Golden Colorado and think a lot of others on this form will appreciate some of these pics and Items..
the first is a group he shot at 500 yards 5 shots under.75" and the Elk he shot with it (he thought its his last but I dont think so)... Then his off hand Iron sight King target..........  He should have to do a pee test after most of this..
Connie your my insperation and I just hope I can dream of doing the ----you do at 87+ ...

Anything he shoots he's built ----- lock, stock, rings ,mounts, sights, and well almost all barrels --
he has sold his rifling machine and uses Rons Barrels from Alberta..
I'll try to put a few more guns on here if i can get them on this ^&$^%#&#%^* computer..

I met this fine gentleman at the "98" Schuetzenfest he offered to show me his rifles, as stated everything hand made. I think of this man often, quite a fellow.   leadball

I first met Connie Grims at the Coors match in Golden, Colorado, at that time I recall that Connie was the head machinist/millwright for the Coors brewery, and I think that he still holds many of the patients on canning equipment, particularly the equipment that forms a beer can from a plug of Aluminum. Connie once showed me his version of a Sharps Borchardt action which had a magnet inlaid in the stock that held the lever up. I think Connie Grims can build just about anything he wants to and often does.

Couple of years ago Connie brought his full scale 45-70 Gatling Gun to the ISSA matches at Raton, and let some young (and not so young  Grin) kids get a few shots off with it.  I'm proud to say that I was one of them!

Singleshot tom, thank you for this post! i am like you, except I don't know the man but I admire him and his abilities! There are a lot of fine rifle makers, but fewer and fewer all the time! And i think it would be a privalige to know such a person! I feel the same way about some of the folks that have helped me trying to learn to make leather goods, because I have meet Good People, and it sounds like your friend is like those I have meet! He builds some AWESOME Rifles, and I thank you for posting them! i have meet a person on here who I will never get to see in person, but he has shared pic's of his collection of rifles, and most likely that will be as close as I will ever get to guns like that!! I have played with guns for years, and have took old junk SXS and made parts for them and fix them to shoot, and a few old 6 shooters!

Sorry about getting of the Topic!!
Thanks for sharing, and tell your friend he has a person in Kansas that admires his work!!
