Does anybody know how many  Browning  BPCR,s were made? Blue Book gives the years made as 1996 to 2001 but does not say about how many.               THANKS   J B

Hey there guys,
You found me.  Here's the answer.

Per the factories production records, BPCRs were only manufactured from 1996 through 1998.  Over the three-year span approximately 2,500 rifles were produced in .45-70 Government, 1,300 in .40-65 Winchester and exactly 330 Creedmoor’s in .45-90 Winchester.  The totals include rifles manufactured for the European market but do not include prototypes made in Browning’s USA facilities and a few prototypes made by Miroku Firearms Mfg. Co., Browning’s contract manufacturer located in Japan.

Although production ended in 1998, the BPCRs were officially discontinued in the spring of 2001 along with the entire line of Model 1885 rifles, though some models were listed on Browning’s web site until the existing inventory was depleted.
