A big thanks to J.D. Steele

After reading the many J D Steele posts on 1885 hi-walls on this forum, I contacted him here to discuss the problems that I was having with my 32-40. After several emails and a phone call , he told me to send the rifle to him to look at, which I did. He fixed all the things that were wrong with it and set it up perfectly. He emailed me 2 days after receiving the rifle and said it was done and on its way back to me!Now that is outstanding friendship and service to a fellow shooter. I would like the forum to know how much I appreciate his help and now that he is "no longer with us", he will be sorely missed. Mori

JD Steele is no longer posting on this forum. We already had a discussion that went on for days so lets not revive a very unpleasant event with further postings on this subject.

We can all hope that the board finally will see that both J.D. Steel and others is missed on this forum and failures were made on both sides, so the only decent thing to do for the board is to get the guys back on again and not continuing putting everything under the carpet or erase…………I think nobody is happy with how things ended up and it is never too late to correct the error.

I didn't mean to stir the pot, as I'm not aware of any of the circumstances that has lead to this end. I was just afraid that JD had passed away and that I was unaware of the event. He has always been a help to me in our high wall part trades and other deals.
