Here it is in a nut shell! No one can write and tell you how to shoot or read the wind!
Randy Wright has a ever good book on the market that covers wind shooting or reading ,which ever you call it. The best I have ever see in print! Information on were and how to order his book in in the For Sale section of this Forum. I sticked it to the top. Also the ASSRA book shelve has the for sell.
After you read his way two or three time. get all you stuff togather and go to the rifle range and start putting into practice what you have read.
And just keep going and shooting all you can! You see there are no short cut to learning how to shoot in the wind (I don`t like the term "READ") Just a lot of shooting!
You see I have just around 40 year of shooting in the wind! So I have paid my dues, but Old Mr. Wind will still put me in my place! You still need to keep Practicing Seeing The Same Condition
One of the main thing you will learn form shooting in the wind a lot, is being able to see the conditions the same each time! You will get were you can remember two or three different condition, but to get started just work on one or maybe two conditions.
Get your self a good set of wind reading devices, and practice, practice, and practice some more! Remember one of the big thing to wind shooting is seeing the same condition when it`s there! And the more you practice the better you will get.
You see you just can aim and shoot each shoot in a different condition and have it`s be a 25.
Get the book and get started! You all have all winter to work on it!
If I happen to think of any other advice I will add it.
Jim

I'm surprised you started this with "nobody can write and tell you how to shoot the wind", and then did a pretty good job of telling how to shoot the wind. Thanks!

I'm not surprised. Agree with you - it's GOOD advice.

Best advice was to practice from the bench, something I've neglected in pursuit of better offhand scores.
