Just joined the ASSRA , and wanted to log in , post for the first time ,and say Hi to all !!! 
I've recently sold my Pedersoli Sharps Silhouette 45-70 and am awaiting a  Shiloh 45-70 RoughRider due for completion in late Sept. or early Oct. Looking forward to learning as much as possible on this forum , but when the new gun finally arrives , will be out makin' smoke and noise and save the computer time for the rainy days !!    

I'm in Arizona, and usually there ain't that many rainy days, 'cept for this year...the 'ol monsoon has been working overtime this summer !! 

zampilot : I took a chance a few weeks ago, and called Shiloh asking what they had "behind the counter " or coming up in production that was unclaimed in 45-70 in either a Sporter #1 , #3 or Roughrider ? Lucinda gave me 3 choices in that caliber, at that particular time . 
I took a 32" Heavy half barreled RoughRider which was { and still is }  in work , and the approximate completion is late Sept / early Oct. The rifle is very close to what I would have ordered myself, except for a couple small add-ons , so I jumped on it immediately !
I had no issues with my Pedersoli, and it was a well made gun, and a good shooter , and if I could afford to keep it , would have .  

10-4, as they say. Maybe I'll give Sharps a call.................

Welcome aboard. Wish I had a Shiloh. Just bought a Pedersoli .45-70 Plains rifle that I have not had a chance to try out yet. Hope to break down and spend the money for a Shiloh myself someday.
