Phil,

Altho I have the Pope "sled" fro Buffalo Arms I've shot with Brent and will agree  that Skip Epps "sled" is as good as I've ever seen. Might have to get one myself, one of these days so I don't have to change the one I have from gun to gun. Forget the price but that's pricey to.  Smiley You get what you pay for.

Where in the heck do you get a barrel clamp/rest, seeing that they must be made of metal? I'm new to this so be kind.

Dave the ISSA Rules changed, they are going to post a dimension limit. I think it was 6"wide x2 1/2" tall x 1 1/2" Thick. I would check with Dave Percel

Van,

Can't help you with where to get the Skip Epps clamp but Buffalo Arms has the Pope clamp.

Oh great, now what are we going to do?  I was thinking of making one from a piece of hard wood but the rules said metal only.

ISSA rule I think 8.4
from the ISSA site
"However, a muzzle rest attached to the barrel is allowed provided it is no more than four inches wide, with a maximum height of 1 1/2 inches below the barrel and one inch above the barrel.   The attachment can be no more than 1 ˝ inches front to back and must be made of metal."
the group I shoot with are with the ISSA.

I just had to do it, so I called Buffalo Arms and the importer discontinued the rest in May of this year....so I'm going to make one of hard wood and paint it silver or copper, do you think I could get away with that?

While we're taking barrel clamps, does anyone know what Weber charges for one of his breech seaters? I have a $50 cert. from the nationals a good friend gave me.
