singleshot1 ... Like I said previously I don't have this information because
the mold has not been cut for close to 40 years.
The mold will be cut with the original cherry or from the original dimensions that Lyman has. See the only dimensions that I posted previously. If you know anyone that has the original mold and has cast from it that was sold by Ideal
PRIOR to the early '70's ... give them a shout. I'd be interested too. Otherwise, look at the picture of the original bullet ...
(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) Please remember this:
This mold will never be a production run from Lyman. Lou Sellman, a Lyman mold distributor, will pay for and own the cherry and he will be the only source for the mold ... if this group buy ever gets off the ground
If it's any consolation, a group of us through Lou Sellman, purchased the cherry for the out of production Ideal 457192 mold.
I and one other person had samples of the original bullet and the special run mold was dead nuts on the original If you or anyone else wants the 457192, they were all sold but Lou is ordering more ... (he also owns the cherry for this mold). Send me a PM or mail and I'll give you the ordering details
And I might add, don't let anyone tell you a 330 -335gr bullet will not shoot from your 38-55. Here's a couple of 2006 pictures that I have not fine tuned the recipe for:
100yd target
