I have not seen any news lately about the Ballard Rifle Co since the move from Cody. Anybody currently doing bussiness with them ? How is the quality and service ?  Thanx

I am pleased to report that Ballard Rifle Co is alive and well and operating in Michigan.  The "new" (actually a couple of years) owner, Bill Northrup and head gunsmith, Steve Durren were at the NRA meeting last month with a very impressive display of their wares and Steve came to Etna Green the following weekend for the ASSRA Spring National Matches.  IIRC, they were working on a six week delivery time for rifles, but the only things I have ordered from them lately were some parts for a high-wall trigger assembly that were delivered from stock within less than a week.

You have got to be kidding about Ballard and 6 week delivery time. My rifle order is going on 14 months and from what I have been able to ascertain from them, has not been touched since the move.
I have a couple of their rifles and have been most pleased with them but 6 week delivery?

I was only passing along what I had been told and what I had experienced.  I'm guessing that the move (preparation for, moving, and unpacking, as well as sorting stuff out and resuming operations) accounts for your 14 months, and would expect your order to be coming through pretty quickly.  I was led to believe that they are actually building rifles right now.  If it were my order, I would place a friendly phone call and politely ask how my order was coming, but that's just me, of course.
