Chuck's 250

Chuck Bordman did a great job scoring a nice 250 at the TR&R spring match on Saturday
Weather conditions were terrible, which included snow, hail , blustery winds. Light conditions went from strong sunshine to almost dark, and oh so cold !
Chuck used his Smith barreled Hoch bench rifle in .32 Miller short. Scope,  24 power Redfield 3200.
The weather couldnt keep this old man down !!   Smiley I should add , that Chuck built this rifle himself.

Allright Chuck. Great shooting. I see Joe also got a 250 practicing as well. I guess you Americans are going to be mighty tough to beat at the International Team Competition at Tommy Mason's first week of May. I guess we don't have enough time to practice up even though we have some of Ron's family barrels up here in Canada. You guys keep that up and we will have to have to go back to weighing bullets again and buy potions for the wind spirit. So does that mean the Canadians will have to stop drinking scotch the night before Tommy's shoot, or more?

Chuck,

Congradulations. You've come along way since the 2nd Coores match many years past. First 250 is the hardest.

Best Regards,
Barry

Joe:

So Tommy Mason, Russ Weber, Dick Spencer, Ron Bell, Bob Birmley, Annette Kirby, Joe G. (Westerner) and Chuck Bordman have all shot 250's. Looks like the American International team that will be shooting at Tommy Mason's May shoot will have geat depth.

Only three of the Canadian team have shot 250's so can we count their scores twice?

Yes Dave, yes. I see what you mean.
I read your thread over and over before responding. I think some sensitivity is in order here.
HELL NO !!!!!   Weve been bushwacked by you Canadiacs before! This American team you say has depth was assembled to prevent another bushwacking.  You can however partake of all the Scotch and fine dining  you like.  Smiley
How do you figure only three?  Which illustrious Canadian sharpshooter wont be showing up?   I would expect a strong team for Canada to include Dave P, Bev P, Colleen M, Greg M, Ron S. There's five 250 shooters.  Hmm. Thats all I can think of right now. Who am I leaving out?   Undecided

                                                                       Joe.

Joe:

Yes more consideration is required. But Joe we cannot include the three grandkids, they are still being mentored by Ron Smith. And the rest of us are blind in one eye, have cataracts, have arthritis or tendonitis. That's only a half shooter each. Shouldn't we get some handicap to keep it even? So how many scotch/rums will it take to negotiate? And of coarse with our cold winters we haven't been able to pratice all winter like you Americans, and when we hit the target up here it is so cold it shatters the target so you cannot figure out where we have been shooting. So when we tape the target back together you won't allow us to count those extra 250's.
