I got my action from Norm Lammers, long time ASSRA member. He had number 9, 10, 11 actions.  He was a personal friend of Bill Ruger and no doubt was involved in the purchase process.  My action was # 11 and was sold recently to an ASSRA member.  dick eesley Wink

Copies of the ASSRA News indicate that these actions were all purchased in 1982.  Sold in the white, hardened, not recomended for color case (although it was apparently done).  Price $200.

Hi Guys,
I had my hands on one of the ASSRA Ruger # 1's awhile back, it was a 25/20 SS and put together very nice, had a case color receiver, and it was # 62.

In checking the list of original action buyers Number 54 was originally sold to Mr. Frank stewart. Hope this adds to your knowledge of your rifle. Thanks to Rudi prusok I have the complete list of buyers if anyone is interested in a number.
