	On Sunday Colleen Molendyk (Ron Smith's grand-daughter) set a new Alberta Schuetzen Guild offhand iron sight record of 455/500 with 2 bullseyes at Spruce Grove, Alberta. The previous record of 445/500 was held by Ralph MacDonald. Sorry Joe, I understand she is still open to other marriage proposals. I guess you will have to figure out some other way to get a RKS family barrel. Congratulations Colleen.

	Super Dave, Can you post some pix of the target's? What kind of target and what range did she shoot them? My original marriage proposal to miss Big Blue Eye's was to facilitate the transfer of canadian single shot target rifle's across the border. Sort of a red tape cutting measure with fringe benefit's, oohla lah! I just ordered two new barrels from gramps yesterday. Joe.

	The Alberta Schuetzen Guild winter competitions are held at 100 yards using the 3/4 inch bull targets. We shoot from indoors through windows since it is hard to feel a light trigger when the temperature drops way below zero. Unfortunately our range faces north and the wind comes from the northwest in the winter. Still can't feel the trigger on days when it is 40 below. I will check and see if Colleen will share pictures of her outstanding targets. Joe, I can save you the hassle of getting those new barrels across the border. You can store them at my place with full visitation rights. No problem at all to cut them in with my herd. Could you make one of them a 45-70 threaded for a Highwall?

	Oh! By the way Colleen shot this record with a borrowed rifle. Her brother Greg probably won't let her touch his Miller 32 RKS again. And she hadn't shot since June. Maybe that's what we should be doing instead of practicing. Maybe the secret is a six month lay off and rest period.

	...on the other hand, her performance could be based on being young, healthy, talented, well trained, and equipped with first quality stuff. Those comprise a combination of factors most of us couldn't muster, no matter how long we rest! All of that doesn't change the fact that this record was a really great accomplishment. Even with all of the above going for her, she still had to stand up there and DO IT! Congratulations, Colleen! Green Frog
