From the Sharps site:

Lodi Sept 29/30 Creedmoor Results
We had a total of 45 competitors for the match, most shot for both days.

Aggregate: 2 days, 450x2=900 possible
Winners:
1. Glen Fewless, 804.09
2. Jim Kluskens, 790.14
3. Bob Walline, 782.08

AND these same guys kept the individual yard lines aggs amongst them, too:

Glen, #1 at 1000yds, with 261.02
Jim, #1 at 900, with 275.07
Bob, #1 at 800, with 280.05

Yes, for a change, we had totally dry weather for the match. Some overcast, low-mid 70s on Sat and mixed overcast and clear on Sunday, Hi 70s
Lots of fun as usual at Lodi, with switching and swirling winds from all directions. But as you can see above, some came through all that with some mighty nice scores for the conditions. As is so often, Lots of credit is due the spotters to keep the guys and girls "Favoring Center"

Thanks again to Ernie and Jerry Stallman and the Winnequa Gun Club for hosting this events
beltfed/Arnie
PS. We all Favored Center in demolishing the Pig roast with all the fixins and the other liquid libation on Sat evening

Thanks, xxgranpapa. Much appreciated.

Richard:

I can give you info one one rifle for sure. It were a Steve Earle reproduction of the Frank Wesson #1 Long Range rifle chambered in .45-90 with a Green Mountain barrel. Rear sight is Parts Unknown. Front sight Distant Thunder using custom sight inserts by Mr. Thunder.

528 grain bullet from B&D mold
Possum Innards lube
88.0 gr. Swiss 1.5f
.060 LDPE wad
Federal 150M primer
Starline brass

The rifle was wiped between shots with a patch dampened with water soluble machining oil, mixed 1 to 10 with water.

Mr. Kluskens was shooting a Shiloh Sharps in .45-90 with his own Distant Thunder front sight and I believe a MVA rear. He used a bullet of his own making, a modified Lyman mold, but that is all I know for sure about his load.

Mr. Walline was shooting a C. Sharps High Wall.

Glenn, I'm 95% sure Jim's rear sight is a Lee Shaver Soule.

I'd like to add my congrats to Glenn also. He is indeed a fine shot and has helped get me started on the slippery slope of BPCS - just what I need is another distraction to keep me from working on Fox shotguns.  Wink

He does get confused sometimes which happens with advancing age and the heavy burden of ACGG membership. The  picture of the Wesson that Glenn posted is really my gun. Tongue Glenn just sees so many of them that they all run together.

MCG ----    seems I have caught the fox fever too. I just finished engraving and gold inlaying a Sterlingworth which is stocked in show grade crotch black walnut.  We may have to talk sometime about your Fox. Give me a call if you'd like to pursue it.   Ken 910-221-5288 EST   I'm in the shop seven days a week.  Oh yeah,   Glenn also owns a truly sweet Fox --- ask him about it.   ken
