ISU has them.  Some are "in storage" and have to be recalled.  But it looks like those going back to 1976 are on the shelves.  What do you want?

If you or someone else is interested, I have available the following issues of The American Rifleman;

$20 should cover them shipped to the lower 48. They are in good condition, although slightly yellowed and have a slightly musty smell.

If you DO find them on Micro-Fiche (sp?), then they're awfully close to being "on disc"... the various microfilm/fiche formats can be scanned at high resolution and stored as .tiff images or .pdf files.   

If you were to get a copy of the microfilm/fiche, I'd highly recommend getting it scanned.  I for one would love to be able to buy a copy on a DVD or set of CD's.

Have you tried contacting NRA to see if they may have it on film/fiche?  (I doubt it... but it's worth asking!).

Interesting, I sent my wife to the post office and they wouldn't take the magazines as media mail because they contained advertisements. They wanted $16 regular mail. 
I labeled the box Media Mail, went to a different post office. They took the box without question and charged $5.19 for 9 pounds!

...and it's kinda hard to find ANY printed media that doesn't contain advertising.  This is the same USPS that will no longer give you one or two Priority Mail boxes, but will on request ship you a case of them for free.  Go figure!
