Kettner action

Ron Wozny picked up a rifle by Kettner.  It is of falling block design with a lever like the #1 Ruger.  He is looking for any information on this maker, who is believed to be German, Swiss, or Austrian.  If anyone out there has any info, please pass it on to me and I will relay to Ron...
Thanks,
Jeff

Kettner is actually still in business in Köln (Cologne) Germany, see (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Kettner made quite a variety of shotguns and rifles starting in the latter part of the nineteenth century.  Most of the ones I've seen have been nicely made and well finished.  Any idea what caliber this falling block is in?  8,15x46R is pretty likely, but there are lots of possibilities.

Thanks for the info...

Ron's rifle is in 32-40, probably rechambered from 8/15x46R.  Very unusual laminated stock with a very large integral palm rest.  The bbl. is fairly slender.  Very nice double set triggers.  Anyway, I went to the website (Kettner) and it seems as though they are more of a distributor of firearm related products today than a manufacturer of firearms (I think, as I don't read German)...
