Need info on schuetzen club in late 1800's Hawaii?

Looking for any info on shooting club in Waialua, Hawaii in the late 1800's. I am trying to assist a friend who has a trophy in his posession from a club in this town on Oahu. It's dated 1882, and was awarded to William Cromwell.
So far I've found a William M Cromwell who was minister of finance in Hawaii in 1892-93, but not much else.
If anyone might have any info on a shooting club, or other info I'd love to hear from you. Or if the Journal has done any topics around shooting in late 1800's Hawaii, that would be great info!
Thanks,
Vall

Vall, there was some mention of a shooting club in Hawaii that used high-wall muskets around that time.  I believe it was in the first volume of Campbell's "Winchester Single Shot Rifle," but I can't seem to lay my hands on my copy right now.  Maybe somebody else can confirm and this will be a starting point?? Undecided

Hello,

In the May-June 1990 issue of the ASSRA News there is an article about a group called The Sharpshooters of Hawaii.  According to the article this group was in existence from 1893 to 1899.  It also notes that in a match with the Denver Rifle Club in 1896, the Sharpshooters used Winchester M85 single shot muskets.

Take care,

Thanks guys! The Win. 1885 would seem to post date this trophy, but possibly Cromwell would still have been actively shooting still when he was appointed Minister of Finance.
