I just had 2 scopes repaired by Weave scope Repair Service  The did excelent job at reasonable price.Their phone is 915 593 1005.
Hope this helps. They also list a web site. (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) One was a pistol scope that selfe destructed on my 44 Red Hawk the other a 1x4.5 variable that met a similar fate on a 350 Rem. Mag.

I have used Mark Sexton in Tulsa many times for Feckers, Lyman and Unertls.  I don't have contact info but I can get it next week.

The Weaver we know today is not the same company that built the American all steel T Scopes.  They are importers and I doubt if they have any repair faclitites. Asian scopes are throw a way and replace. None are repaired as far as I know.

Bill Ackerman used to work for Weaver and knows the T scopes very well. He has always done my T Work.  Glad to get his new number as I had heard he moved from El Passo.

THE WEB SITE I POSTED ARE THE SAME PEOPLE WHO DID WEAVERS REPAIR WHEN THEY WERE IN BUSINESS. AS FOR THE JAP SCOPES I HAVE ONE OF THE FIRST 4X TASCOS MADE IT IS STILL INTACT. IT HAS LIVED ON A 350 REM MAG AND A #I 458 WIN.IT IS STILL CLEARER THAN MOST SCOPES. THE  GUY I BOUGHT IT FROM NEW FOR $10 TOLD ME HE WOULD REPLACE IT IF I COULD SHOOT IT LOOSE. THAT WAS SOMEWHERE AROUND 1960 I AM POSTING THIS AS A MATTER OF INFORMATION NOT CONTROVERSITY MY NEWEST SCOPE IS A BURRIS 4X12 COMPACT. I THINK IT IS WONDERFULL. MY TARGET SCOPES ARE REEDFIELD 2400 AND A FECKERT. COME TO THINK OF IT THE ONLY SCOPES I HAVE HAD REPAIRED ARE WEAVERS.

Screwloose, No controvosy just personal choice.

The Old Weavers are far from perfect. The optics are nowere near as good as new Jap scopes. But I do like them and have a couple as well as Lymans Unertils and Leopolds.   I have never had one of my Weavers break, the scopes I have sent to Bill Akerman have been either for boosting or dot reticlues. Of course except for a K 2 1/2 with a 4 Moa dot on my Hunting rifle all are target scopes and not subject to any hard use. The optics are plenty good for the target range while the mechanicals have not been bettered by any scope I have used.

I do have a Jap-built new Weaver 15 X on  Air rifle and it's a good scope. But if it ever breaks it's a thowaway. Thats how Asia works and it's a very sucessfull business model.

JOhn Knudsen said that he could only repair the T-20 if I heard something rattle in the scope.  I will try Ackerman tomorrow.

To Screwloose,
The reason I went with Bill Ackerman is because Weaver said it would take 8 to 12 weeks after receiving my check.  They'd check the scope then tell me how much it would cost.
Ackerman repairs and overhauls them for a flat fee.

Russ

Bill Ackerman used to work for Weaver and I have heard but cannot confirm he was one of the designers of the T scopes.  I do know he will not work on anything but the T series. I have had good luck with his conversions and reticle work.
