Ben, I don't have the exact dimensions, but if you will imagine a .357 MAX case necked down to 5.6 mm (about .22, I think) and with a case length of 50 mm, that's about what you'll see. I'm mostly familiar with them sawed off to .357 length and sized down to .321 or so, straight taper from the rim ... that's the way I use 'em in my Peregrine.

I think they are pretty close, but am not sure. If you CAN'T use them, please hook me up...I could use a new batch for my .32 Dell! 8)

Ben,
Here a web address of the 5.6x50R Magnum case which I hope to include into an article for the Journal one of these days.

The 5.6x50R case could be used for the .222R but some of the dimensions aren't quite right. Here are some that don't match up to the 5.6x50R case. Rim diam. - .450". Rim thickness - .060". Head diam. .375.

I have a 222R and my solution was to staybright solder rims on to 222 brass. Staybrite is a lo temp high strength solder used in refrigeration. Seems to work fine. Having a small lathe helps. There is a lot of quality brass for the 222. It is convienient as I also have an old 222 Rem 40X & lots of brass.
