Rodney Storie Action Castings????

Print Post
Does anyone know if the Rodney Storie single shot action castings are still available and if so how to get in touch with Rodney to buy some?

The castings are shown at (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links);

The phone number listed doesn't work for me.

I talked with Wes at that number just a few months ago.  He gave me the new e-mail address I have on that page.  Please try the e-mail and let me know if there's been any changes to his phone number.  He told me he's trying to get up his own web site, at which time I'll take down my unofficial copy.

Thank you for your help.  I got a reply to my e-mail to Frontier and a URL to a e-bay store that e-bay listed as Closed.

I replied to the e-mail to get specifics to my needs.  Send me your e-mail address and I will copy it to you on the latest price list.

thanks,

Allen

Thanks Allen, I checked about half of those prices and it appears there has been no general price increase.  I'll add a note to my site saying the phone number is evenings only.  Anything tempt you for a purchase?

Yes, I was tempted and will give in as soon as I hear back from them,  I ordered the machinist drawings of the Farrow 1887 action, from Buffalo arms, and would like to start with the castings.

I have left several e-mails and phone calls with Wes but have heard NOTHING.

I imagine F.A. is an evening job for Wes, perhaps a hobby as much as anything else. I've talked with him twice over the last year, and he's quite friendly and interested in old rifles. For the last phone call, I must have tried 6 times before I reached him; I didn't try the answering machine since I'm presently overseas.

As an aside, there's a lot of guys in Norway viewing that page on my site. As best I can tell, they are part of a machinist's intenet forum. Perhaps one of them will join this forum.

Good luck with your project. If I ever getting around to machining an action, I think now it will be one of my own design, but the Cole has long held my interest.
