Interesting.  Last time I talked to Buffao Arms, which was some time ago, they thought that what they had was probably all that they were going to get.  I also called and e-mailed the current Belding & Mull company and got nowhere.

The original Belding & Mull company was around for decades maybe going out of business sometime after WWII.

Then this group started making their powder measures and adopted their name.  So the Buffalo Arms Belding & Mull powder measures are absolutely made by a SECOND Belding & Mull Company.  This unit is pretty much a copy of the original, down to the name tag on the front.  The attachment of the powder reservoir leaves a lot to be desired but basically it is a  replica of the original.

When MVA started producing a unit of this style they clearly improved upon it.  The attachment to the workbench, for example, is a REAL improvement.

So there are three firms making these:
the original company, long out of business.
a company using the original firms name but not related
to the original Belding & Mull company in any way.  This
is what Buffalo Arms is selling.  A replica not quite as
       well made as the original.
MVA who is making a unit of this style but a product that
clearly is an improvement over the other two, and
particularly an improvement over the units that
       Buffalo ARms is selling.

I ordered two charge tubes for the Belding and Mull powder measure from Buffalo Arms.  They are slightly larger in diameter than the originals, had to skinny them down a bit.  I had tried to order them from the newly advertised Belding and Mull without success.  Called them twice and was told they would go out today, nothing happened.  If there is a new Belding and Mull their business ethics are in question.
