Charlie,

Thank you very much for posting Scott Hamilton's phone number and address. I just got off the phone with him a few minutes ago and he is going to ship a rest to me. I told him about y'all's expressed opinion about it and I know that if you and DW like it, then it is a great rest and I want one. He asked if I had seen it in the Journal so I told him I haven't received that issue yet as I don't believe it is out and that I learned about his rest here on the Forum from y'all's discussion of it. He seemed quite pleased with that. He sounds like a fine gentleman who will be a real pleasure to do business with.

Again, I wish to express my thanks to you and DW for letting everyone know about Scott Hamilton and the rest he makes.

Hello All,
Am I guessing wrong??  The last mag I received had a rest on the cover. I thought it said it was made by HST? Am I correct? Or is that made by Mr. Hamilton? He and I are playing Telephone tag now! Also? Would that be the latest issue you all are talking about?  Thanks.

The Bronze Pedestal on the cover WAS made by HST (Glenn Fewless) (the issue before last). There is another magazine out since then, the cover photo was taken by Corky and Cloudy Day and is of a "Dragon" Schuetzen target overlaid with a fine Ballard.

The Hamilton Rest will be in a coming issue.

PLUMLOCO,

Leave your name and number. Scott will get back to you. He is in and out a lot, but he is good about returning calls.

Currently putting final touches on the next issue. Hope to get it off to the printer over the weekend. If all goes well and there are no preproduction issues it may/could/should be going into the mail in a couple more weeks. Frog's product review & some nice detail photos of the Fuddrest are in it.  I hope to have it in the ASSRA booth at the Ohio Gun Collectors show in early january (weekend around the 7th I think), if anyone wants to take a look at it.  That's if the Frog doesn't just happen to "forget" to bring it when he comes up. I wish to thank DWS and the Frog for bringing this benchrest to the attention of this Forum. As you can see from the post I made last evening, I've received my benchrest from Scott Hamilton and I am more than thrilled with it. So, Thanks fellows. I really appreciate it. And anyone who feels the slightest inclination towards getting a new benchrest would be doing themselves a tremendous favor by getting one of these.

Tom - not a problem - I just bought a lefthanded top for a sinclair base from him back in Dec05.  One of the nice features of "fudds" base is that he has a thrust bearing between the captains wheel for vertical adjustment and the base its self which I would think would give for pretty smooth operation.  "fudd" as I understand it is a shooter of some reputation in his neck if the woods so there has been some thought and understanding put into this product.

Scott Hamilton (aka Fudd) is president of the Rimfire Benchrest Association (RBA). He is a really nice guy and is a talented machinist. The top he has designed is adjustable for width and will go down narrow enough to clamp onto a #4 Winchester barrel! We shot rimfire together for a number of years. He reallly stands behind his products. His partner, H.L. Wickham (aka Wick),builds in my opinion, the best widflags on the market!
