Of the other shooters and their scores, there is not much to enthuse upon. J.E. Kelley was second with 2225. His best 10-shot score was 235, which next to Hudson's 236 was the best score of the day and won him the Armbruster trophy. There was such a congestion of shooters on the targets that when night set in a number of the marksmen could not finish their scores. Among them was L.P. Ittel, and in his misfortune he had the sympathy of everybody for coming so far it must have been a great disappointment.
The final programme of the day was the banquet and distribution of the trophies and cash prizes. The banquet was enlivened with speeches, W.M. Hayes, who had devoted the day to playing the the host, was master of ceremonies, and in this he was in his best form. The result of this shoot has in a measure removed the nightmare of the telescope, which has tormented some of our local marksmen in the past.
