I believe that the Post Office does not forward mail to a new address after six months. Most people don't realize that. I also believe that you can "renew" your forwarding address every six months. 

Don't take this as gospel, but as a couple of possibilities.

The Post Office did furnish me with "Change of Address" cards for each of my subscriptions. Most people forget about one or two.

If you know Ernie Stallman, he might know where to find Lee (I have never met Ernie). It might be worth it to drop him an e-mail.
