I'm looking for a source for a bar type extractor for a very early Rolling Block. Anyone know of a source for one?
Thanks!-Vall

Gun Parts Corp. has them. They are new made ones and need a little work but they do work. I think they get about $10 for them.

I checked, but they're shown as out of stock. Thanks.

Yes, I've tried the rifle shoppe, and haven't had any better luck than you did. I made one on my mill, but I'm an amateur, and it works, but I'd like a better one.

Well I resurrected this old post, because I finally found an extractor, and an original at that! Got one from Dixie Gun Works. Found it on their web site, and the price was only $15. They surprised me with having several interesting original parts for old Rollers.

OK, now that Vall has an extractor for his roller, how about an external extractor (under barrel slider) for an early Ballard?  Anybody got any ideas?   ???

As always, TIA!

Froggie,
If your going to the N-SSA Fall Nationals this weekend, there are a couple of sutlers who might just be able to help you. Nick Brevoort at the "Gator Den", S&S Firearms, Lodgewood Mfg., Fremont Arms to name a few. These are good sources for Maynard parts as well.

Thanks, subsailor.  I'm planning on going, but isn't it NEXT weekend (the 12th-15th?)  I hope so, 'cause that's when my mad money will be available!   Roll Eyes

OOOOPS   Embarrassed

I've been scrambling to change my long mislaid plans.  Looks like I may get up Friday evening at the earliest, but more likely Saturday morning.  How should I try to find you Saturday?

I stopped skirmishing two years ago so I could go back to school to finish my BA. I shot for Dismal Swamp Rangers for 15 years. Once I am done (9 classes left) I will go back to it. I could not devote the time for practice that my teamates deserved from me. When you shoot DSR "A" team, you practice, practice, practice. Shooting silh, you only let yourself down. Actually, I will be at Roanoke Rifle Revolver Club on Sunday for Silhouette match. I sent you a IM with the phone numbers. Dixie Gun Works will be there as well. Right next to S&S.
