1 1/2 rolling block action

I have a 1/1/2 rolling block action with butt stock attached. No barrel. It's been worked on so it's not a collectors piece so I'm either going to rebarrel it or sell it. Does anyone know what the limits are on what cartridge I might barrel it in? I'm thinking 32-40. Would that be ok? If I decide I don'r need another project what should I ask for it?

The Rolling-Block is a very popular action for the 40/65 and 45/70 cartridges.  I would think $300-400 would be about the asking price for action and butt stock depending on condition. leadball

Since this is a 1 1/2 action, not the usual no 1, I wonder if it can take 45-70, 40/65, etc. The 1 1/2 has thinner sidewalls, a smaller barrel shank, etc. I guess that's the nub of my question - what is the limit, if any, for cartridges in this action given it's "not as big" as the no 1?

Mr. is0086s:

Should you decide to part with the action I would be interested in having it.

I will be out of town for the weekend but will return on Monday. This is the weekend of  the North/ South BP silhouette match at Bon Aqua, TN.
